The Thompson Band have always had two passions, music and family. Danny Thompson has been playing on stages for years in fact when I met him he was travelling to Nashville Tennessee writing with some of the biggest names in the business. The band included his kids on and off along with other musicians from the Southern Ontario area. At that time the Band was called The Danny Thompson Band with Danny fronting the band.
Over the years the band has not only focused their music on family but the band has changed as well. With the exception of their drummer the band is now mostly family with daughter Danielle taking more of a lead role in both singing and writing music for the band. Son Jordan plays bass for the group and wife Sharon plays guitar and vocals for the band. In fact we talked with Danny on The Cashing in on Creativity Podcast four years ago about changing the name of the band to take the focus off him and more on the family.
