Business is Hard, a Trucking Business is Harder!

Any business is hard and many follow a similar model, however a trucking business may be even harder! Like many business owners it starts with passion.You find a product your passionate about or a cause that you are compelled to support and you go all in making it your life’s work. Maybe it was your former career and you said that you could do it better, smarter, or with more enthusiasm. This is the story of almost every entrepreneur around. You get tired working for a company and want more freedom in your personal life or want to make more money. So you do it, you make the leap, you begin your business, or maybe you attempt to change the World.

Meet Julia Wojdacz a veteran truck driver from the 80s with millions of miles behind the wheel. Early in her career she had to take a stand many times to fend off the harsh words from men in the industry. Over the years she began to get a following from other women coming into the trucking industry that couldn’t believe the years she had put in over the road. As the miles wore her down and she wanted more time at home she began her media channel. This channel would become her platform and her voice for women to follow to have a successful career in the trucking industry.

Aurel Davidyan saw a need and tried to fill it. With years behind the wheel he noticed areas in the industry that needed much attention such as the truck parking issue. He stepped into the world of business as a land owner remembering his need for truck parking during his time behind the wheel. He purchased land and developed it for truck parking. He has now developed that business to a successful truck parking experience with facilities for both drivers with long term requirements and those just rolling into town for a delivery. He has since gone on to help other drivers trying to find work with good carriers in the trucking industry through his latest business called Joova.

We all know that being in business isn’t easy and in trucking there are many other issues to worry about. Whether you are an operator with one truck or ten the headaches don’t go away they just amplify. In trucking there are some options however such as having your own authority and finding your own clients or contracting to a company that can offer support and help you keep your costs down. Keeping money in your pocket is crucial to the success of any business and finding ways to do that may just keep you alive.

Well maintained equipment is crucial to a successful trucking business. Buying trucks and other equipment is not easy in today’s industry. You have to understand the pitfalls of equipment maintenance and breakdowns can take away that money you worked so hard to get.
